How to Schedule Posts to Multiple Social Networks
Short answer: connect each account to one scheduler, write the post once, select every account you want it on, and pick a time. In TimeToPost, one post can target several accounts at once across 15 networks (Instagram, X, Bluesky, Mastodon, Pixelfed, Telegram, Tumblr, WordPress, Ghost, DEV, Whop, Buttondown, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Threads); the scheduler publishes it to every selected account when the time comes and records a separate result for each.

This guide is for creators, founders and small marketing teams who post the same idea to several networks and want one dashboard instead of a tab per network. It covers the four steps, the network list, and the format rules that differ per network.
The four steps
Scheduling one post to many networks takes four steps: account, connections, post, time.
- Create your account. Sign up with your email. TimeToPost creates a personal workspace that holds your posts, connected accounts and analytics, and that you can later share with teammates.
- Connect your accounts. Open Settings, Accounts and choose Connect beside each network. OAuth networks open the network's own consent screen; Telegram, DEV, Whop, WordPress, Ghost and Buttondown show a short credential form. Every plan connects unlimited social accounts, including several on the same network.
- Write and target the post. Open the composer, write the caption, attach images or video if you like, and select every connected account the post should go to.
- Pick the time. Publish now, set a date and time, or accept the suggested best-time slot computed from your own engagement history. The post is saved as SCHEDULED.
When the time arrives, the scheduler publishes the post to every selected account, and you can watch it move through SCHEDULED, PUBLISHING and PUBLISHED on the posts list. The getting started docs walk through the same steps.
Every network you can schedule to
TimeToPost publishes to 15 networks from your own accounts, all available from the Starter plan.

| X | Any X account | OAuth |
| Your LinkedIn account | Connect flow in Settings, Accounts | |
| Threads | Your Threads account | Connect flow in Settings, Accounts |
| TikTok | Your TikTok account. TikTok public posting: Coming soon. | Connect flow in Settings, Accounts |
| Bluesky | A Bluesky-hosted account | OAuth |
| Mastodon | Your account on your server | OAuth |
| Pixelfed | Your account on your server | OAuth |
| Telegram | A channel | Your bot token and channel ID |
| Tumblr | Your primary blog | OAuth |

What changes per network when one post goes everywhere
Each network accepts a different shape of post, so the same text can be valid on one and too long on another. These are the rules TimeToPost's connectors apply, from the integrations docs.
| Network | Text and title | Media |
|---|---|---|
| Caption | At least one image or video is required | |
| X | Text-only is fine; threads of up to 24 parts, 280 characters each, through the API | Images and video optional |
| Threads | Up to 500 characters | - |
| Bluesky | Text and links, up to 300 characters | Up to four images |
| Mastodon | Text and links, up to 500 characters; you choose visibility (default followers-only) | Not supported by the connector |
| Pixelfed | Caption up to 500 characters; you choose visibility | 1 to 4 images, at least one required |
| Telegram | Text up to 4,096 characters; media captions up to 1,024 | Albums of up to ten photos or videos |
| Tumblr | Text up to 10,000 characters | Up to ten images |
| WordPress | Plain text with optional title and tags | One featured image |
| Ghost | Plain text with optional title, tags, excerpt and canonical URL | One feature image |
| DEV | First line is the title (up to 128 characters), the rest is the Markdown body; up to four tags | Embed public image links in the Markdown |
| Whop | Markdown up to 20,000 characters, optional 255-character title | - |
| Buttondown | Sent as a newsletter issue, up to 100,000 characters; subject is the one you enter or the first line | - |
The practical rule: write for the strictest network you selected. If Bluesky is in the list, keep the post under 300 characters; if Instagram or Pixelfed is in the list, attach an image. The free character counter and the Threads, Bluesky and Mastodon limit checker show where a post gets cut before you schedule it.
What happens when one network rejects the post
Each account in a multi-network post gets its own result, so one rejection never blocks the others. If every account succeeds, the post is PUBLISHED. If some succeed and others fail, it is PARTIAL, and the per-account results show which ones need attention; often one account's connection has expired and needs a reconnect. If no account succeeds, it is FAILED, with the error stored per account.
How the monthly allowance counts a multi-network post
One post counts once, however many networks it goes to. On Starter, the 30-post monthly allowance counts posts in the calendar month they are scheduled to go out, so one idea sent to X, LinkedIn and Threads uses one post, not three. Pro and Growth have no post limit. The plan breakdown has the details.
Doing it from code or an AI agent
The same multi-network post is one API request or one agent tool call. With a personal ttp_ token from Settings, API:
curl -X POST https://api.timetopost.co/api/posts \
-H "Authorization: Bearer ttp_your_token_here" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"content":"Same idea, every network.","accountIds":["<id1>","<id2>","<id3>"],"scheduledAt":"2026-11-03T15:00:00.000Z"}'GET /api/integrations returns the account ids to use. AI agents connected to the MCP server at https://api.timetopost.co/mcp do the same with list_integrations and schedule_post, and can call get_optimal_times first to place the post at the account's best time. See how an AI agent schedules posts and where each network shows your best time.
How we know
The steps come from the getting started and scheduling docs; the network list, connection methods and per-network rules come from the integrations docs and the API docs. The Bluesky and Threads character limits are the limits TimeToPost checks before sending. All checked on 1 November 2026. A dash means the docs state no extra rule for that network.
Frequently asked questions
Can I post to LinkedIn, X and Threads from one dashboard?
Yes. Connect all three in Settings, Accounts, select them in the composer and schedule once. Keep the text under 280 characters when X is included as a single post, and under 500 for Threads.
Can I schedule to Instagram, TikTok and X at the same time?
Select every account on one post. Instagram needs an image or video attached. TikTok public posting: Coming soon.
How many accounts can I connect?
Unlimited, on every plan, including several accounts on the same network.
What if my post is too long for one network?
Write for the strictest network you selected, or make a separate post for that network. X threads of up to 24 parts of 280 characters each are supported through the API and the publish_thread agent tool.
How much does multi-network scheduling cost?
Starter is $12 per month and posts to all 15 networks, with up to 30 scheduled posts per month. A post sent to several networks counts once. Pro at $49.99 per month removes the post limit.
Write once and schedule to every network you use, each at its best time, with unlimited connected accounts from the $12 Starter plan.
